C2 Capital Partners Acquires Asset Manager 3 Comma Capital
Together, C2 Capital Partners and 3 Comma Capital have raised more than €1 billion in assets. Full integration is expected to be completed this year, with the merger subject to approval by the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
C2 Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in 3 Comma Capital, an asset manager that has surpassed €140 million in assets under management in just three years. This marks the beginning of a merger process expected to be finalized in the coming months, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals, according to a statement released by the firm.
The transaction value, previously reported by the newspaper Expresso, has not been disclosed.
The full integration is expected to be completed this year, with the finalization of the merger contingent upon approval from the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
C2 Capital Partners and 3 Comma Capital have together raised more than €1 billion in assets. This acquisition will strengthen C2 Capital Partners’ ability to expand its scope of activity, enabling it to serve investors with greater scale, resources, and specialization, while maintaining its disciplined investment approach.
The structure and team of 3 Comma Capital will be integrated into C2 Capital Partners, ensuring continuity for investors and partners.
“With this transaction, C2 Capital Partners will incorporate the 3 Comma Capital team, bringing the total to more than 50 professionals. The integration will not result in changes to the investment strategy, fund structure, or day-to-day management, ensuring continuity of service for investors and partners,” the statement notes.
3 Comma Capital has experienced rapid growth since its foundation. According to data from the Portuguese Association of Investment Funds, Pension Funds and Asset Management (APFIPP), it was one of the fastest-growing asset managers in Portugal in 2025 within the open-ended funds category, having raised more than €100 million.
